Key Focus Areas

Strengthened partnerships in collaboration through action research-based policy advocacy

The power of partnerships and collective action in advancing peacebuilding and human security can not be understated. Fostering collaboration between religious leaders, governmental bodies, and non-governmental organizations to address systemic challenges through research-based advocacy and shared initiatives.

Prioritizing knowledge exchange and capacity building to amplify the role of faith actors in policy influence and conflict resolution which forge partnerships that enhance regional solidarity, improve advocacy effectiveness, and contribute to sustainable peace across the continent.

Reduced conflicts and their impacts, including resource scarcity, internally displaced persons (IDPs), refugees, forced disappearances, extrajudicial killings, and civil unrest

Mitigating the consequences of conflict by addressing its root causes and supporting those most affected by seeking to transform conflict-prone environments into spaces of inclusivity and equity, reducing civil unrest and creating pathways for healing and societal restoration.

Emphasizing the reintegration of displaced individuals and refugees, the promotion of human rights, and the reduction of injustices across the continent.

Enhanced prevention and response mechanisms for conflict across Africa.

Strengthening the capacity of communities and faith actors to prevent and respond to conflicts effectively by addressing challenges of gender-based violence and the psychological toll it causes on communities. Working with faith leaders and organizations, to provide them with tools and skills so that they take proactive measures to reduce conflict and support the recovery of affected populations. Additionally, we underscores the importance of psychosocial support and preventive action in promoting long-term peace and stability.
