The first in the continent to bring together different faiths in working for a common goal
In order to tackle Africa’s enduring problems, including political instability, weak institutions, and resource mismanagement, governance and accountability are essential. Widespread disillusionment among residents results from these barriers, which also impede sustainable growth, maintain inequality, and spark disputes.
Our strategy is focused on giving people the tools they need to become strong advocates for social justice, peace, development, and good governance by collaborating with religious leaders. By working together, we can strengthen communities and promote the change required to provide everyone a better future.
Our Approach
We seek to empower individuals and communities to hold governments accountable through robust grassroots awareness and engagement. We place emphasis on amplification of voices advocating for transparency, inclusivity, intergenerational dialogue, and advocacy of marginalized groups’ inclusion in leadership and governance to be achieved under three broad areas:
Key Focus Areas
Democracy and community resilience
By leveraging the moral authority of religious leaders to advance good governance and resilience. We seek to strengthen the capacity of religious leaders to be able to engage with duty bearers and oversight bodies on the continent as a way of building a foundation for resilient and democratic communities.
Civic engagement and empowered citizens who actively
Focusing on the citizens of Africa we seek to facilitate their empowerment through civic and political education to a level that they can hold their governments accountable. By supporting religious leaders so that they can play a pivotal role in this process of creating accountable governments across Africa.
Inclusive, participatory, and accountable state institutions and governance frameworks
We seek to emphasize reinforcing inclusive governance frameworks and state institutions through cross-sector collaboration and citizen-led accountability advocacy. By supporting different actors to support the realization of governance systems that meet the needs of marginalized groups and uphold ethical principles and human rights.
