The ACRL-RfP is a continental coalition of different faith organizations, faith communities and religious leaders in the continent, working together to advance peace, sustainable development and shared well-being. ACRL-RfP’s goal is to promote a multi-religious identity, representative multi-religious structures and multi-religious cooperation at all levels in the continent.

Our Core Value Statements

ACRL-RfP’s core values are rooted in the African philosophy of Ubuntu/Utu, which prescribes a way of living that emphasizes interconnectedness, humanity, and the shared responsibility for each other’s well-being. Ubuntu/Utu, often expressed as “I am because we are,” embodies the belief that individual identity and fulfillment are inextricably linked to community relationships. It promotes harmony, collective flourishing, and mutual respect, forming the basis of ethical and moral conduct.

We integrate this philosophy with the shared sacred worldview that views humanity and nature as interconnected, sacred creations as jointly being the value prepositions through which our values are lived. Grounded in Ubuntu/Utu, our five core values guide our transformative efforts to create sustainable and equitable communities that ensure the holistic flourishing of Africa and its people.

We are committed to openness, responsibility, and ethical governance in all our engagements and operations seeking to ensure that our actions and decisions are made with highest integrity. We seek to build trust by taking ownership of our decisions done in a way that is inclusive, fair and accessible. We endeavor to uphold the principles of justice and equity, promoting trust within communities and reinforcing the legitimacy of our institutions working toward the flourishing of Africa and its people.
