Patrick L. K. Magero Coordinator Peacebuilding and Security Programme at the African Council of Religious Leaders- Religions for Peace. He is an experienced Analyst and Researcher, program development and management, planning, monitoring, evaluation and learning (PMEL), conflict transformation and peace building, preventing/countering violent extremism, governance, training, capacity building, organizational development and resource mobilization. Patrick has over twelve years of experience in Alternative Dispute Resolution Mechanisms – Negotiation, Mediation and Shuttle Diplomacy, research, program development and management, planning, monitoring, evaluation and learning (PMEL) in complex environment having worked with local and international organizations such as: Finn Church Aid, Konrad Adenauer Stiftung, UNDP, PEACENETKenya, Kenya Land Alliance/ GIZ, Africa Peace Forum, and Friedrich Herbert Foundation among others.
Patrick has published and presented policy related research papers in national, regional and international conferences and has also offered need based capacity building including setting up and utilizing Monitoring systems to communities, local and international institutions among them Life & Peace Institute local partners and Joan B Kroc Graduate Institute – US.
Patrick is pursuing PhD in politics and holds a Masters of Arts Degree in International Studies from the University of Nairobi and Bachelor of Philosophy Degree from Pontificia Unisersita Urbaniana in Italy, Diploma in Philosophy and Religious Studies from Consolata Institute of Philosophy, Diploma in Human Resource and Personnel Management from Cambridge International College -UK.
